Open Chrome quickly on iPhone or iPad

After you install Chrome, you can get to the app faster when you add it to your homescreen or your dock.

Add Chrome widget to your homescreen
  1. On your home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. At the top of the screen, tap Add Add question.
  3. Search for Chrome widgets and select Chrome.
  4. Swipe to find Chrome widgets.
  5. At the bottom on the screen, tap Add Widget.

Add Chrome widget to your Today view
  1. From the home screen, swipe right to the Search bar
  2. Scroll down, tap Edit
  3. On the top right, tap the + icon 
  4. Search for Chrome widgets and select Chrome.
  5. Swipe to find Chrome widgets.
  6. At the bottom on the screen, tap Add Widget Add question.
  7. Tap anywhere on the screen to complete.

Add Chrome to your dock
  1. To add the Chrome app Chrome, you may need to clear space on your dock.
    1. Touch and hold the app you want to remove.
    2. Drag the app to your home screen and release it.
  2. Touch and hold the Chrome app Chrome.
  3. Tap Edit home screen.
  4. Drag the Chrome app to your dock and release it.
  5. Tap anywhere on the screen to complete.
Tip: If you're on an iPhone 6s or later, you can press and hold the Chrome app to start a new voice search, open a new tab, scan a QR code, or access your most-visited sites.
