Link accounts to your manager accounts

To use your manager account, you can begin by linking it to existing individual or manager accounts.

You also have the option of creating new Google Ads accounts from your manager account. These accounts are automatically linked to your manager account.

Before you begin

This article shows you how to link existing accounts to your manager account. You may want to begin by reading About linking accounts to manager accounts.

Send a link request

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads manager account.
  2. From the page menu on the left, click Settings, then click Sub-account settings at the top of the page.
  3. Click the plus button .
  4. Click Link existing account.
  5. Enter the Google Ads account's Customer ID number. To link multiple accounts at once, enter one Customer ID per line.
  6. Click Send invitation.

Users with access to the Google Ads account you sent a link request to will receive emails inviting them to link to your account. Once the invited account accepts your invitation, you'll receive an email confirmation and the account will be automatically linked to your manager account.

Accept a pending link request

Users with administrative access to the invited account, or access to a linked manager account that has administrative ownership of that account, can accept your invitation. You can find, accept, or decline linking invitations using the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads manager account.
  2. Click the Tools & settings icon Google Ads | tools [Icon], then under "Setup", click Access and security.
  3. Select the Managers tab. Under “Link request”, you’ll find a list of manager accounts that have requested to link to your account.
  4. Under “Actions”, click Accept.
Note: You can also accept a pending link request by clicking Accept request in the email invitation mentioned in the section above.

Revoke a pending link request

You'll also find pending invitations in your manager account at the top of the “Sub-account settings” page under “Pending link requests”. If you wish to remove a pending link request, click Revoke. Learn more about managing users and access levels for your manager account
