For subtitles in your language, turn on YouTube captions. Select the "Settings" icon at the bottom of the video player, then select "Subtitles/CC" and choose your language.

Choose the right keyword themes for your Smart campaigns
The keyword themes you choose help determine when your ads show, so make sure that your keyword themes are accurate, precise, and relevant to your business.
Check your location settings
You’ll want your ads to appear in the places that your business serves -- for example, if you want to reach customers that are 30 miles from your business, make sure to set up your ads accordingly. This also keeps your ads from appearing in areas that your business doesn’t serve.
Review your budget
A competitive budget helps ensure that your ads get the right amount of exposure to customers. When you create your Smart campaign, we’ll recommend a budget based on average click volume for your business type and your location. Choose a budget that you’re comfortable with, while also allowing you to serve your ads as frequently as you’d like.
Write effective ads
Your ad gives you the chance to showcase your business and attract potential customers. An effective ad clearly and accurately describes your business and distinguishes you from your competition. Review your ads regularly to make sure they’re sending the right message, or let us help you improve your ad text with ad suggestions.
For best results, we recommend at least 3 ad versions for each Smart campaign. There is no additional cost to having more than 1 ad, and it also allows Google to optimize your campaign performance based on the best-performing ad.
Provide a great website experience
A customer clicked your ad. Now what? Make sure that once they get to your website, it’s easy to find what they came for. Think like a customer: choose a landing page that has all the information promised in the ad. If customers don’t find what they're looking for, they’re more likely to leave.
Opt in for customized help and performance suggestions
Over time, if we notice that the performance of your Smart campaign(s) could be improved, we will send you emails with customized help and suggestions. To enable this:
- Sign into your Google Ads account.
- Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner of your account.
- Click Preferences.
- Click Notifications along the top to reach the Notifications page.
- Check if you have opted to receive customized help and performance suggestions for your account.
