Google Ads manager accounts (MCC) and Smart Campaigns

A Google Ads manager account (formerly My Client Center or Google MCC) is a powerful tool for handling multiple Google Ads or Smart campaign accounts. With a manager account, you can link several accounts so you can view them in a single location.

Manager accounts are ideal for third-party advertisers such as agencies and marketing professionals, or large advertisers who manage multiple accounts.

Using a Google Ads manager account with Smart campaigns

  • Create new account: To create Smart campaign account from within a manager account, click Create new account. You’ll have the option to create either a Google Ads or Smart campaign account.
  • Reporting: Standard reporting is available for Smart campaign accounts within manager accounts. Learn more about manager account reporting
  • Link or unlink your account: Your manager account allows you to easily link and unlink new or existing Smart campaign accounts at any time. See instructions for linking and unlinking accounts to your manager account.

Note: Selecting a Smart Campaign account will create a Google Ads account with Smart Campaigns in Smart Mode. If this is selected, you can change to Expert Mode at any time, where other Google Ads campaigns can be created.

Consolidated billing allows manager account users to combine all of their Google Ads account invoices into a single monthly invoice. You'll only need to make one invoice payment to cover the costs of all accounts within your manager account. Learn more about consolidated billing.
