Edit your service areas and job types

Setting the job types your business provides and the areas you serve makes sure your ad shows to the right local customers. Be sure to update these settings if your business changes location or service offerings.

Note: Real estate agents and brokers in the U.S. and Canada cannot target their ads by postal code, per our policy.

How to edit your service areas

  1. Sign in to your Local Services Ads account
  2. Select the menu Nav icon in the top left.
  3. Select Profile & Budget.
  4. On the “Service areas” card, click on the pencil icon Pencil icon / edit icon.
    • To add a service area, search for a county, city, or zip code in the “Include these service areas” search bar.
    • To remove an entire service area, search for a county, city, or zip code in the “Exclude these service areas” search bar.
  5. Click Save.

How to edit your job types

  1. Sign in to your Local Services Ads account
  2. Select the menu Nav icon in the top left.
  3. Select Profile & Budget.
  4. On the “Job types” card, click on the pencil icon Pencil icon / edit icon.
  5. The main job type you set when you opened your Local Services account is listed on the left. Toggle on the subtypes that also apply to your business.
  6. Click Save.
